Worth $1.1 million!

21st century learning center

This K-12 program supports the creation of community learning centers that provide academic enrichment opportunities during non-school hours for children, particularly students who attend high-poverty and low-performing schools. The program helps students meet state and local student standards in core academic subjects, such as reading and math; offers students a broad array of enrichment activities that can complement their regular academic programs; and offers literacy and other educational services to the families of participating children. New Prairie United School Corporation will be implementing a variety of after school programs for K-12 grades. The following programs will be added or enhanced for after school and summer opportunities:

Camp Invention, Jr. First Lego Club, First Lego Club, Young Astronauts, IXL Math, IXL Reading, Jr. Achievement, Achieve 3000, Girls on the Run, Jr. Achievement, PTLW Biomedical, PTLW Engineering, Achieve 3000, Beyond the Cougar Den, John Baylor ACT Prep, and Princeton Review SAT Prep.
