NPUSC hires Justin Holmquest as the next Assistant Principal for NPHS
New Prairie United School Corporation announces the hiring of Justin Holmquest as the next Assistant Principal of New Prairie High School. Mr. Holmquest brings two years of experience in high school administration, previously serving as an Assistant Principal at Portage High School. During this time Mr. Holmquest made significant contributions to areas such as discipline, instructional leadership, technology integration, school accountability, and school climate.
Mr. Holmquest is a graduate of LaPorte High School and taught previously in the Washington Township and LaPorte Community Schools in English/Language Arts. Mr. Holmquest also coached at various levels including coaching varsity and junior varsity boys and girls basketball.
Mr. Holmquest stated the following about the new opportunity at New Prairie, “What excites me the most about getting to work at New Prairie is the strong community ties and involvement. NPHS is a strong school academically and from a technology standpoint, and I am looking forward to working with the teachers and the students. This a great fit for me personally being from LaPorte. I look forward to being here for a long time and I am excited to get started!”
Dr. Paul White, NPUSC Superintendent stated, “we are fortunate to be adding Mr. Holmquest to our administrative team. His administrative experience at one of the largest high schools in Indiana has provided a foundation of experiences that will serve New Prairie and our students well.”
Mr. Holmquest was approved by the NPUSC board July 18th and will begin July 22.
